A long long time ago, many many girl friends ago I was very much into my 40K orks and decided to convert my bosses wagon way before the days of the kit that you can get from GW.
So in true Anton style the battlewagon is made from a landraider that has been widened so that it can actually hold the models! The doors were converted into gun platforms and the engine block was heavily converted.
I didn't get any unprimed pictures of the wagon, just a quick WIP
I was quite surprised how quick I managed to paint this, before I knew it I was adding the weathering to the tracks and the like,
the arse shot of the wagon, more pipes than you can shake a stick at!
as the model is open topped the inside was done rough and ready to match the outside of the wagon.
a bit more work and the zap gun and twin linked big shooters along with the gunners were sorted
the green was a random colour that I picked for the "acquired" fire prism but actually works really well as the power of gork and mork is channelled though it!
close up of the platform
and the last view that most people will see!
getting this model has been on the "to do" list for quite a while and part of me didn't think I could paint the model to a standard that matched the amount of time that I spent converting this. However I'm really chuffed that I decided to give this a crack and ties nicely in with a gorkamorka campaign that I'm trying to get off the ground as well as pondering giving 40K another stab!

Mantic plastic pipe terrain for Gorkamorka / This is not a Test
A while back I managed to get hold of some of the plastic mantic pipework that was part of the deadzone 2nd edition kickstarter.
This has been sitting a box for a while as most of my kickstarter stuff does, and had a "good idea" to use the pipework for some terrain for the gorkamorka campaign and the incoming this is not a test kickstarter that is due to hit the uk shores at some point.
so after some pondering and general faffing about as well as asking the masses on the terrain tutor's facebook page, It wasn't long before I'd assembled the following and was waiting for the PVA to dry!
as I was using this for both personal, club and potentially demo terrain I wanted to keep it fairly simple so a quick blast of army painter red spray followed by the classic sponge technique straight over the top for the weathering, Once that was done it was a simple task of painting the bases and that was it really!
some ork bikers for scale/size wise
and close ups of the various bits, to raise the pipes off the floor I used the connectors that you would normally use to connect to the side of buildings and put a bit plastic card to make it level to the height of the bend.
An open gangway for snipers and the like assuming you want to stick out like a sore thumb!
this one doesn't have a ladder as I forgot to stick it on, so technically the walkway is inaccessible. However its no biggie really.
I've already used this terrain in a few games and they work a treat, Not sure if I'll do any more as this is plenty for a 4x4.

Derby 2016 - K47 demo & show overview
So the demo team decided to defend the title that we've won for the last two years with best participation, and after a bit of brain storming Keiths idea of a commando type game was decided and with the gulf war being 25 years old, SAS hunting scuds was decided upon!
Once again Nick produced the table, Cooper did the SAS, Phil did the buildings and yours truely did the iraqis and the scud.
The rules we hashed out within about 45 mins on a club night and with a few tweeks they were good to go and used a number of club members to try out the rules on, the point of the game is fast and furious and it certainly filled that breif!!
So whilst those lot were running around the desert I was killing Germans on the K47 table!
the warlord stand included studio guys and had a good chat about various odds and sods, some very nice things coming up!
So various pictures from the show, apologises with regards to the lack of info on the tables, they all looked lovely
this one caught my attention due to the hanger, gives me a few ideas for another table!
A really nice zulu game, always been temped with this era but don't fancy painting a 1000 zulus!
some team yankee stuff for the British, really nice plastics should be intresting to see how much more they do for this system.
the SLA boys were on show once more with a really nice demo table made from mantic stuff
Alex over at arcworlde once again proving how twisted and strange his mind is, and I like it!!
some cracking tables made from a metric ton of hurst arts, very nice work
and the boys doing the business by bring home the Best Participation game for the 3rd year in the row!
Go you this time round Carl!
such a simple table and I loved the concept, sadly didn't have a chance to give it a try I'm hoping to see it again and play this one!
after working with Phil for two days he starts to lose it!
The Gates of Anteres board that Nick did for the second partizan,
A rare moment when Donna & Nick were not dealing with the general public!
and the usual haul picture, lots and lots of americans for bolt action, and more importantly some more of Chris' balls for Isla to paint!
